The Safe Spaces Initiative comprises a poster, brochure and sticker designed to identify your classroom and/or school as a safe and inclusive space where LGBTQ students, teachers, friends, families and allies are welcome and supported.

BCTF Social Justice

The social justice initiatives of the BCTF focus on poverty, child and youth issues, race relations, gender equity, homophobia and heterosexism, bullying, environmental issues, globalization, and violence prevention. In addition, the Federation has an advisory committee on Aboriginal education.

Teaching Sexual Health

A resource for sexual health teachers and educators in Alberta. We wish to enhance excellence in education by providing teachers with evidence-based sexual health education and delivery methods, lesson plans and activities, and comprehensive resources. The Teacher Portal is an Alberta Education Authorized Resource.

Canadian Federation for Sexual Health

The Canadian Federation for Sexual Health is dedicated to supporting access to comprehensive sexual health education, information and services in every community.  

Centre for Suicide Prevention

A branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, CSP is an education centre with the largest English language library dedicated to the collection and dissemination of suicide prevention, intervention and post-vention resources. Services include: an active Twitter feed, training workshops, online courses, webinars, literature scans and reviews, library database access, lending library and knowledge translation publications.

Project 10

Project 10 works to promote the personal, social, sexual and mental well being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, intersexed and questioning youth and adults 14-25.
