Lucas Scott // Bridlewood 

Lucas is new to our school and lucky for me, he has become a part of my Online Hub team.  He is teaching Grade 3 and his enthusiasm for learning and teaching is invigorating!  Lucas has been taking the time to create quality assignments for his students and I can just imagine how much his students love going to their Google Meets. 

Guylaine McTague // Varsity Acres

Guylaine has been teaching French Immersion for over 20 years. She has dedicated herself to her school, her students and the French language.  She is now welcoming a second generation of language learners, having taught some of her students' parents!  Year after year she strives to meet the needs of each learner and develops strong connections and emotional bonds with them.  She strives to incorporate a variety of strategies and best practices to support learning and French language development in her classroom.  Guylaine is eager to explore and integrate technology into her classroom and was an early adopter of Google Classroom during the period of remote learning.  She is a reflective practitioner who is always giving of her time when mentoring younger teachers.  Her laugh permeates the school and lifts the spirits of her coworkers.  She is a great cook and makes a dynamite, Varsity Acres award winning, sucre a la creme, a French-Canadian speciality.
