Liaison Committee
The Liaison Committee is governed by rules established in our collective agreement. It gives Calgary Public teachers the opportunity to discuss matters relating to teaching and learning conditions in Calgary Board of Education schools. Other matters of interest or concern to either party are also potential topics of conversation. These are often presented as issues at our monthly Council of School Representative or biweekly Executive meetings. The Board is required to bring proposed changes to current working conditions not covered by the collective agreement to this committee for consideration. It is not the venue in which bargaining discussions occur.
This committee is composed of four representatives of the CBE, your president, two vice-presidents, Teacher Welfare Committee Chair and one of the Executive Staff Officers. It meets monthly during the school year.
