Best of the Web
Best of the Web
A brand new website is now online, created specifically for Elementary School children and teachers. The website was unveiled recently at the Alberta Teachers' Association Computer Council Conference by Calgary teacher, Geoff Bell, the creator of the site. It received an "Innovative Computer Project" award from the council.
"
www.bestoftheweb.ca
" is intended to be easy for children to use, allowing them to find the best websites with only two or three clicks of the mouse. The site contains no advertising and is completely free. The companion site is designed for teachers, giving them quick access to a variety of teaching resources.
Children, teachers and parents are invited to use the site, which is now actively explored by children and teachers across the province.
