MUSIC NEWS:

Due to the band's success, Jacquie Baird our band conductor, dyed her hair a unique colour for the year-end concert. It was held at William Aberhart High School on May 26th.

A Kiwanis Music Festival representative visited Branton Junior High a few weeks ago with astonishing news. Our grade seven band was awarded the Superior Band Performance, Concert Band Level 1, Calgary Kiwanis Festival Medal. In other words, Branton Junior High's grade seven band won the overall Grade seven band performance at the festival!

Our Band Conductor, Ms. Baird, was presented with the George Lotzenhieser Medal for overall Best Band Conductor at the Kiwanis Music Festival.

Kudos go to Ms. Baird and all of her band students!
