Volume 17 No. 5 - June 2005
Welcome to the third issue of ATA Glance Online. Thanks for visiting the website and reading these articles. If you are a return visitor, hopefully you're making this a habit.
Last month was our first issue published completely on the website. If you are a teacher, you may recall receiving a truncated version of ATA Glance in your school's mailbox. It was a single page with summaries of all the articles in the issue. It seems as though you have approved of this approach, as we've received no complaints and lots of visits to the website.
For this edition we've sent your school serval copies of the summary. Again, our intention is to let print readers know that ATA Glance is now published online and to invite everyone to the website. Our plan is that this was the last paper version of the summary. Starting in September, we plan to publish ATA Glance articles exclusively online.
So, please enjoy the stories and columns you can see listed to the left. And be sure to let us know what you think! And maybe you'd like to contribute.
We'd love you to write a Letter to the Editor, with your comments on an article. Or maybe you'd like to write an article yourself! Please tell other teachers about happenings in your school, educational issues you care about, and points of view on the state of the profession these days. Email the ATA Glance Editor, Pam Reed, at
ataglance@ata38.ab.ca with ideas you might have.
There's an amazing amount of interesting activities and personalities in our Local 38 membership. Let's hear all about them!
