Grade 4 and 5 students at Douglas Harkness School were studying measurement concepts and one of the activities was finding area and perimeter, weight etc. while building the a gingerbread house.  They decided to put the gingerbread houses up for a raffle and give the money to the Tsunami victims.  They sold tickets for 10 cents each over two days.  We were amazed with the response. We raised 80 dollars!
